My favourite Non For Profit organisation

Hi winner

In my last e-mail, named "No Compromise", I asked you to sign an online petition at Avaaz.org to stop the proposal to legalise whale killing at the International Whaling Commission Summit in Morocco last week. You know whales are protected species not for profit.

The pro-whaling lobby tried to use political favours to win a so called "compromise" that amounts to a quota for hunting whales, but as tension grew in the closed-door talks, our massive petition became a top story on the BBC's world news, and other allies put pressure where it was most needed and draw greater global attention.

The Australian environment minister Peter Garrett, the U.S. delegation and an European negotiator told the World's media how impressed they were about this online petition, that was signed by an extraordinary 1.2 million of us worldwide.

We did it! The proposal to legalise whale killing went down in flames.

In this positive winning wave, we can keep on winning!

EBay corporation has set up a free competition among non profit organisations, and if you vote, you can also win $500!

Please vote for Sea Shepherd, see the captain on the Larry King show.

The online competition is closing on the 4th of July.

The top three favorite nonprofits will win grants of $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000.

To vote go to http://mynonprofit.ebay.com/

You must have an Ebay account to vote.

Thank you

Mauro

The new Prime Minister Julia Gillard, has made a deal with the mining companies. She did "compromise" and reduced from 40% tax to 30% tax. That wouldn't happen if the mining industry did not spend millions in advertising campains who played on emotions and kept repeating dubious figures. This is an alert for democracy.
